Things To Do In Nidderdale

Nidderdale AONB and The Yorkshire Dales

Rightly proud of its place within the Dales, Nidderdale is for many the favourite Dale. It truly deserves its status as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its stunning moorland scenery and tapestry of lush green meadows.

The Royal Oak at Dacre Banks is an C18th Grade 2 listed traditional Inn, surrounded by the beauty of Nidderdale. It is the perfect place as a starting point to explore:

  • Rural Yorkshire Dales
  • The Nidderdale AONB
  • Brimham Rocks
  • Fountains Abbey
  • Bolton Abbey
  • Urban Harrogate, Leeds, Bradford and York
  • Walking and Cycling

There are many trails for cyclists or walkers to enjoy in and around The Nidderdale Area of Natural Beauty. For more details have a look at the Nidderdale AOB website.

Fishing

The Nidderdale Angling Club own most of the fishing rights near us for the river Nidd; we sell day tickets for them to allow guests to fish the Nidd. Day tickets are available for visiting anglers who may fish Scar House Reservoir and designated day ticket stretches of the River Nidd. See the Nidderdale Angling Club website for more details.
