Last year our Seafood Festival was a great success, so this year we are running it exactly the same, six weeks of delicious seafood at fixed prices, you choose one, two or three courses.
We here at The Royal Oak always try and do our bit to help support British Coastal Fishing Boats. Thankfully, our coastal waters are blessed with a huge wealth of fish and shell fish, farmed and wild, through supporting our British Coastal Day Boat Fishermen we help guarantee these hard working fishing families survive and prosper.
Our suppliers work really hard supplying British fish but also import some more exotic species which also allows us to bring you a selection
of seafood from around the world.
This year our specials board will be full of fish and shellfish from around our coast and the world; below is just a selection of fish you may find over the next 6 weeks.
Gurnard, Dressed Whitby Crab, Fleetwood Plaice, Cornish Monk Fish Tails, Severn & Wye Smoked Salmon, Sea Bream, Whole Plaice, Scottish Witch Sole (like lemon sole), Peterhead Hake, Lerwick Cod, Scottish Loch Reared Trout, Isle of Man Scallops, Swordfish, Scottish Salmon, Mullet, Talapia, Tiger Prawns, Tuna and Barracuda. Whatever is good and available, weather permitting will appear on our specials board.
