Biscardo Oropasso 2016

Veneto IGT, Italy

The Oropasso of Biscardo consists of the native Garganega, the best grape of the region and used in higher quality Soave and Chardonnay, which gives the wine its creamy suppleness. It grows in the hills east of Verona and has delicate floral notes along with citrus fruits and ripe apricots. On the palate it is fruity and soft, yet with an underlying minerality. Slightly off dry with a real touch of class. Lovers of the fruitier style of Sauvignon Blanc could be easily tempted by this.

The Biscardo Family has been making wine from their base in Soave for over 150 years and is currently led by brothers Maurizio and Martino.
During the course of Maurizio's long and illustrious career, he has consulted for well known wineries all around Italy.
