The Royal Oak boasts a superb menu; all our meals are prepared by Jon, our Swedish chef and Vinnie our local home-grown chef.
We have a wide selection of dishes using the finest locally sourced produce. Some of our old favourites that people just keep coming back for include Roast Three Dales Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, Steak, Kidney and Vegetable Pie, Roast Rack of Three Dales Lamb, Deep Fried Haddock in home-made Batter and Thai Green King Prawn Curry.
Three Dales Meat comes from animals reared in Nidderdale, Aredale and Wharfedale and is supplied to us by Ken Balsdon Butchers of Summerbridge, a local family butchers.

A fine selection of fish and vegetarian dishes are always available so why not browse through our menu and see what mouth-watering dishes we serve here at The Royal Oak.

Why not keep a look out for all the special evenings and Winemakers Dinners we hold throughout the year? They can be viewed here on our web site. Some recent occasions have included Spanish Tapas Dinner, Authentic Indian Supper and our Royal Oak Summer Lobster Festival which has become an annual event due to popular demand.

To further enhance your eating pleasure, we have one of the finest wine lists in the area brought to you by The Wine Bureau of Killinghall at very reasonable prices. With the help of Martin from The Wine Bureau we hold regular Winemakers Dinners where guest speakers and winemakers from vineyards all over the world talk about their wines, wines we have carefully matched with our delicious food.

You can dine in three areas at The Royal Oak,
all of which are non-smoking

Erics Pantry - a cosy little room with a real inglenook open fire, great for those cold winters nights

Dale View - at the back of the pub with a large window giving a view over Lower Nidderdale stretching down to The River Nidd, a great river for a spot of trout fishing. This room can be closed off for private parties of up to 20 people.

The Green Room - this is our dining room for those wishing to enjoy their meal in a quiter more refined setting. Serving the same high quality food as the bar at no extra cost, this room also boasts an open fire. The Green Room can be booked for special occasions too, tell us what you are looking for and a tailor-made menu can be produced to suit your individual needs. This room is also available for meetings and training courses by prior arrangement
